After working for American Motors and Jeep for eight years, Gene Foulger opened Certified Automotive in June 1978. Gene could see that electronics and computers were the future in automotive repair. So the shop's personnel began advanced training and became one of the first shops qualified to diagnose and repair on-board computer systems.

Serving the Salt Lake City area for almost 30 years, Certified Automotive performs all types of repairs on your car, van, light truck or SUV - from oil changes to computer diagnostics to engines and tires.

Our shop has experienced ASE-certified master technicians average over 15 years experience each and can promptly assist with your vehicle maintenance and repairs. In addition to brakes, steering, heating and A/C, CV joints, clutches, tune-ups and engine repair/replacement, we also provide dealer services such as computer repair and reprogramming, fuel injection, cruise control, power windows/seats/door locks, etc.
